  7. Welcome, and thanks for downloading TickHack -- a freeware HackMaster module
  8. written *entirely* on-board a Palm device, using the Quartus Forth on-board
  9. compiler!
  10.  
  11. TickHack adds audible feedback to all your Graffiti characters -- a 'tick'
  12. for each character you write.  It's really handy when you're writing while
  13. looking away from your Palm.
  14.  
  15. If you don't have HackMaster already, you'll need to install it to activate
  16. TickHack.  HackMaster is available at <http://www.daggerware.com/>.

  18. --- TO INSTALL TICKHACK:
  19.  
  20. After installing HackMaster (http://www.daggerware.com/) install TickHack
  21. just as you would any other Palm application, using the "Install" option of
  22. your Palm Desktop software.  If you have any problems, write us at
  23. support@quartus.net and we'll help you out!

  25. --- NEW IN VERSION 2.0:

  27. Version 2.0 fixes an extra 'tick' that would creep in once a minute or so.

  29. --- COMPLETE SOURCE IS PROVIDED!

  31. ALSO!  Of interest to developers -- the complete source code to TickHack is
  32. provided here.  It's written using our flagship product, the on-board
  33. Quartus Forth compiler.  In fact, TickHack 2.0 was written from the ground
  34. up on a Palm Vx, in a jet flying from San Jose to Toronto on the way back
  35. from the PalmSource '99 conference.
